About Us

Maryland Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, LLC is a private, outpatient physical therapy practice, where every session is spent providing hands-on, one-on-one treatment for our patients. In addition to comprehensive physical therapy treatments, we offer wellness programs which can prevent or minimize injuries or disability.

The members of our staff include:

Dr. Marina Kachuriner, DPT received her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland - Baltimore. Her continuing education includes coursework in manual therapy, such as Muscle Energy, Myofascial Release, Accupressure, Craniosacral Therapy, and Visceral Manipulation. In her holistic approach, she combines these hands-on methods with customized exercises to provide individualized one-on-one care for each patient.

Dr. Brian A. Watson, DPT received his doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland - Baltimore. His clinical interests involve orthopedic physical therapy with a desire to obtain a specialist certification in the same area. Brian is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, including the special subsections of Geriatrics, Orthopedics, and Sports.

Daniela Jantac, PTA received her education in Europe where she worked for fifteen years as a Physical Therapist. In the United States, she graduated from Physical Therapy Assistant program in 1997. In her work, she combines years of experience with quality continuing education including Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and new techniques to treat orthopedic and neurological conditions. Daniela is also a Lymphedema Certified Therapist (LANA CLT).

Natalie Simak, L.Ac.,R.N. has been working in the healthcare field for over sixteen years as a registered nurse and licensed acupuncturist. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse, R.N.) from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and worked in the adult medical unit at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her Master's Degree of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) from the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland, trained as a certified National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) specialist and Aroma therapist, and is a current member of the Maryland Acupuncture Society and American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM). Nikki Sheltra; Administrative Office Manager, performs numerous office management duties including performing insurance verifications, helping patients with appointment scheduling, providing insurance explanation, and answering any questions patients may have regarding the “business” side of physical therapy. Nikki also has experience as a Fitness Trainer for Curves and Butterfly life as well as experience in patient services in both the physical therapy and physician office setting. She is people-oriented and enjoys getting to know our patients.

Jeff Arenberg; IYI. ERYT. RPYT, is a yogi who is highly educated and experienced in the systems of yoga. By integrating information from a vast amount of styles and lineages, he provides the most comprehensive, authentic practice possible. Jeff was introduced to yoga in the late 1990's while studying psychology and philosophy at Towson University. He found a regular yoga practice to be an integral companion in support of his conventional and extreme sports athletic endeavors. Jeff continued deepening his yogic perspective by receiving education in many different lineages and schools of yoga.

After years of practice, graduation from college and yoga teacher trainings, Jeff found the opportunity to infuse yoga with traditional psychiatric counseling. Jeff has been recognized for the measures of success experienced at such institutions as Johns Hopkins Hospital, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Union Memorial Hospital and many more. These results became the inspiration for Jeff's expansion to schools, businesses, and individuals around the world who are interested in exploring the profound comprehensive system of yoga.

Nicole Stoklosa; RD, LDN, is a licensed dietitian and nutritionalist who received her Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from the University of Delaware. She went on to complete her dietetic internship with the ARAMARK Distance Learning Program, after which she took a national exam to become a Registered Dietitian. Nicole loves the field of nutrition and enjoys counseling others on how to make their lives as healthy as possible. Her area of knowledge include a broad range of topics including weight loss, prenatal, diabetes, children's nutrition, and many other diseases and conditions. She looks forward to helping you reach all of your health and wellness goals!

Emil Chervin; R.M.P, is a registered massage therapist who graduated from Fortis Institute (formerly known as Medix School) in Towson, Maryland. Providing therapeutic massage is his passion and has provided balance in his life by allowing him to help his clients to relieve their aches and pains and improve their lives through an holistic approach to wellness. He constantly improves his professional expertise by attending a variety of multiple workshops and training events in healing therapies.
